Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes are simple, crispy on the outside, and tender inside.
Ingredients
- 2–3 medium potatoes (Russet, Yukon Gold, or red potatoes)
- 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional seasonings:
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Onion powder
- Italian seasoning
- Parmesan cheese (added after cooking)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Slice potatoes into rounds about ¼ inch (6 mm) thick.
- Pat the slices dry with paper towels.
- Toss with oil, salt, pepper, and any desired seasonings.
- Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
- Cook for 12–18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Thinner slices: 10–14 minutes
- Thicker slices: 15–18 minutes
- Cook a few extra minutes if you prefer them extra crispy.
Tips
- Soak sliced potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes before cooking for extra crispiness. Dry thoroughly afterward.
- Spray lightly with oil midway through cooking if they look dry.
- Serve with ketchup, ranch, garlic aioli, or sour cream.
Parmesan Garlic Variation
After tossing with oil, add:
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
