🦀 Cucur Crab Stick (Savory Crab Stick Fritters)
A quick Malaysian-style savory fritter snack using crab sticks, flour, and simple seasonings.
Ingredients
- 6–8 crab sticks, sliced
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup water
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green chili, sliced (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped spring onion
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Make batter
- Mix flour, egg, water, turmeric, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Add fillings
- Stir in crab sticks, onion, chili, and spring onion.
- Heat oil
- Heat oil over medium heat.
- Fry
- Spoon small portions into hot oil.
- Fry 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Drain & serve
- Place on paper towels and serve hot.

Tips
- Add shredded carrot or cabbage for extra texture
